We are pleased to announce that a new E2Reform.org Online Petition is now live.

We would be very grateful if you would take the time to look at the petition and sign if you feel that you would like to support the aims of this site.

Please sign the new petition here.

It would help enormously if you could mark your e-mail address as “visible to author” so we are able to add you to our database and keep you updated with developments as they happen. The previous petition had nearly 1800 signatures but we could only access about 300 e-mail addresses as most had been marked “private”.

The old petition has nearly 1800 signatures but was in support of the Heather Wilson Bill which has now expired.

Thank you for your support

We will, from time to time, post comments which have been attached to the online petition.Matt Bell C.P.A., Lake Wales, US Citizen“As a Certified Public Accountant that deals frequently with the unique needs of foreign investors, I truly believe that the E-2 investor visa should have a way to lead to a Green Card. The lack of this option puts foreign investors in the position of uncertainty and at a distinct disadvantage in the U.S. marketplace.”A big thanks to Matt for his support. This kind of endorsement from a member of the professional community will go a long way to helping our cause.

Diane Cavanaugh, US Citizen“I am signing this petition for a truly deserving family who I am proud to have as friends. They are all wonderful, productive individuals who are an asset to our country.”

Debbie Bouchillon, US Citizen“I feel hard working folks who are and supporting the US should be given the chance to stay here and become citizens!”

Philip L Anzalone, US Citizen“E2 investors come here legally, buy or start businesses and are required to employ citizens. Their children cannot have social security numbers therefore cannot work. When they turn 21 years old they are forced to leave America and return to their country of origin, alone with an incomplete education and no work experience. E2 investors create employment and help the economy. They fit the description of the desirable immigrants that America wants. E2 investors must leave the country every two years to renew their I-94’s and every five years to renew their visas. They live in fear of a denial which would mean they either could not return to the U.S. at all, in which case they lose everything, or they are allowed to return for 90 days to settle their affairs. E2 investors should have the right to apply for a green card and permanent residence. Currently, several politicians are working to get a path to permanent residence for ILLEGAL immigrants and their children. It seems unconstitutional when those who are here LEGALLY have no such path. It’s Un-American.”

Tracey Higgins, British, Permanent US resident for 40 years.“I am signing this petition for my friends who have been in this country for the last 10 years. They run a succesfull buisness and have been raising a child here since he was a year old. They are now facing the possibility of non renewal of their visas. We have illegal aliens that live, work, get health coverage, have children in school and so forth. We have people that come from Cuba and all they have to do is set foot on american soil and they get to stay. Yet we have hard working individuals that bring good things tho this country and it’s people who are from america and they have to worry day after day if the US government is going to allow them to stay. My friends have a child that has lived in this country, gone to school in this country and sounds like he is from this country, you would never know the difference that he was from England unless he or his parents told you. Our congress needs to fight for those that take the LEGAL way into this country, that create jobs for americans.”
